Stephen has been working directly or indirectly in the healthcare industry since 1987 when he helped launch the FHP Medicare Advantage plan in California. In 1987 he founded Communique which provided marketing services to numerous insurance companies including Aetna. In 1994 he founded Plan Data Management, a revenue management and analytics company focused on the Payer market. The company had over 50 Payers as clients including five of the top Payers, multiple Blues plans and numerous regional plans and was the market leader for revenue management systems to the Medicare managed care market. In 2007 the company was acquired by TriZetto and Stephen became SVP of Government programs.
In 2010 Stephen left to consult and invest in entrepreneurs in the healthcare service sector. Companies included eCaring, Fit4D and Beacon in which he is an investor and board director. In 2012 he also joined the board of ElderPlan, a New York health plan.
